Together with the Sunday services the guilds at First E are the life blood of the congregation. Guilds try to always welcome new participation and look forward to your help. If you are uncertain who to contact to join a guild, contact the office by email or phone or a Board member.
Sanctuary Stewards
The Sanctuary Stewards group is a subset of Buildings and Grounds members who specifically focus on maintaining and enhancing the historic character of our buildings and grounds. As a longtime member and historian at First E, Edi/th Kelman initiated this group and currently serves as the main organizer. The Sanctuary Stewards do research on proposed additions, including evaluating materials, analyze possible unintended side-effects of additions or rennovations, and otherwise inform the congregation about the historic character and value of our properties.
Also, the History Project is affiliated with First E as a semi-autonomous effort under the Sanctuary Stewards Guild.
