The
First Existentialist Congregation of Atlanta, aka “First
E”, is a philosophically-based spiritual community,
dedicated to human liberation, and founded on feminist
and existential principals. We are gay and straight,
black, white and brown, men, women and children who
all come together to support the individual’s path which
creates the meaning and essence of their lives. A melting
pot of spiritual backgrounds, our members self-identify
as Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, or Atheist – just to
name a few. Each individual has the freedom of choice
and is therefore responsible for their actions. We believe
you are your own chairperson, required to take care
of yourself and the world in which you live.
In
1978 the membership voted to join with the Unitarian
Universalist Association of Congregations. To learn
